Here are some of the animation I created for the game "Mai:Child of Ages", I even created the rigs for all the creatures.
During the development I worked as a 3D generalist in a small team of four people. My main focus was on environment art, and I was responsible for creating 3D assets and implementing them into the levels based on blockouts provided by the game designer.
Given the small size of the team, I had to manage my time efficiently and often prioritize speed over polish.
My main contributions included:
- Creating environment assets and building levels from blockouts.
- Optimizing assets, especially foliage like trees, to improve performance.
- Adjusting and enhancing custom shaders originally built by an external shader artist.
- Rigging animals and enemies.
- Creating animations for all enemy characters and contributing to some animations for the main character (alongside external animators).
Working in such a small team gave me the opportunity to contribute across different areas of production and grow as a versatile and adaptive artist.
